Our History

Sycom Limited started trading as Sycom Technology in 1995. Specialist areas were Novell Netware Operating Systems, email and networking. Sycom pioneered a link with early Groupwise email systems allowing "electronic memo's" to be sent over dial up to the Internet. These "memo's" were in fact the start of emails. Predominantly companies accounts departments were networked but with the development of microsoft windows platforms, networks expanded throughout companies. This coupled with email becoming a fast cheap method of communication, Sycom became a top UK integrator of leased lines allowing companies to utilise the Internet, way before the days of broadband.

Later on Sycom became certified with Microsoft and implemented Microsoft server based product around the UK and Ireland.

Now we continue to implement Microsoft server products, specialising in replacement servers and upgrading with minimal impact on users. We have been known and still continue to implement replacement servers and upgrades to Microsoft Active Directory services seemlessly with little or no outage for clients. In fact our expertise in this area, coupled with our time of being in business has led to many major businesses utilising our services to upgrade their systems and networks.

Today we offer many products and services from Hosted Email Management and resiliency, VOIP systems, remote office and remote worker solutions not forgetting of course our core expertise in networking and connectivity.
